The Waldo Astoria is a guesthouse with an attached “Speakeasy” making it the perfect place for your small group to spend the night or host a weekend retreat. It is named after the old Waldo Astoria Theater near 75th & Wornall Rd.

The old Waldo Astoria building opened in 1924 and closed in 1991. In that time, it was a very successful movie theater and playhouse. In the spirit of the roaring 20’s, and the keeping the entertainment scene in Waldo alive and well, we decided to bring back the old namesake!
